David Sawyer

David, an artist based in London, completed his education at Canterbury College of Art.

Since graduating in the early 1980s, he has unwaveringly pursued a career as a professional artist, dedicating himself wholeheartedly to his craft.  He is primarily interested in architectural subjects and how light reveals the nature of its structure, as well as creates mood and atmosphere. His favoured subject matter encompasses everything from Mediterranean landscapes to the urban skyline of London. He works mainly Plein Air and in the studio space in London where he formulates his ideas.

In March 2019, David was invited to be the official tour artist accompanying Their Royal Highnesses The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall during their visit to the Caribbean.
